The Trauma Center Coping Skills Group is a modified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group designed to meet the needs of our trauma population. The goal is to help participants more effectively stay grounded in the present moment, regulate emotions, tolerate daily stressors and improve interpersonal relationships. Sessions include guided meditation, discussion, and gentle physical movement (as ability allows). Members are expected to complete weekly practice assignments which are the basis for learning and discussion.

Participants must be in individual therapy of at least 4 weeks duration prior to entering the group. This treatment need not be at the Trauma Center.

For additional information about eligibility, and the status of the waiting list, contact Janice Stubblefield-Tave, LICSW (617) 232-1303, x2018.
