DEVELOPMENTAL TRAUMA DISORDER FIELD TRIAL

With thanks for a generous grant from the Nathan Cummings Foundation, Phase I of this Field Trial, a national clinician survey, received full funding.

STATUS UPDATE

We are 2/3rds of the Way to Target Funding with Just Over 6 Weeks to Go!

Thanks to a phenomenal surge of financial support, a fall launch of the DTD Field Trial in at least four of the six intended national sites is now ensured.

This puts us solidly in striking distance of attaining in full or target amount of $300,000 required to launch the full-scale, six-site field trial. Achieving this goal will provide maximal power and generalizability of study findings, as the six national field trial locations have been carefully selected to maximize geographic, ethnic and sociocultural diversity of participants: Anchorage Alaska; Boston; Chicago; Hartford Connecticut; Houston; and Southern Michigan.

In the event that by summer's end we once again exceed expectations and surpass our $300,000 target and manage to raise $350,000, this would enable us to include an early childhood field site cohort at the University of California in San Francisco. This would add a critical developmental cohort to the DTD Field Trial that requires integration of more complex design features given the challenges of assessing the impact of maltreatment, neglect and domestic violence on infants and toddlers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP US SEE THIS FUND DRIVE ALL THE WAY THROUGH!

It is exceedingly rare that we have the opportunity to effect far-reaching change to society. This summer we are at one such tipping point. This is your opportunity to take direct action. You can personally help transform medical knowledge and quality of care for all those impacted by maltreatment and neglect by contributing a tax-deductible donation to the "DTD Field Trial, JRI TraumaCenter" by the end of August.
