Research Program

The Trauma Center maintains an active clinical research program focusing on the exploring the impact of trauma and childhood adversity on development and the evaluation of innovative intervention models for complex trauma. Recently completed treatment outcome studies include those for neurofeedback, Internal Family Systems (IFS) treatment, trauma-sensitive yoga, and EMDR for the treatment of PTSD and associated traumatic sequelae. Previous research has also included a field trial for Developmental Trauma Disorder (DTD), as well as a number of studies focused on better understanding how early experiences of trauma and adversity impact development.
